PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The year 2023 marks the Centre for Human Rights Education’s (CHRE) 20th anniversary and we have much to celebrate as we reflect on two decades of human rights teaching, research and advocacy.
As the only university-based human rights centre located in the humanities in Australia and the only postgraduate human rights teaching program that is multidisciplinary, CHRE plays an important role in helping us understand what it means to live together and co-exist peacefully with each other and with the non-human world.
On 5th December 2023, in honour of International Human Rights Day, CHRE will be hosting a 20th anniversary celebratory event. This will include an evening keynote address from the Centre for Human Rights Education’s Patron, The Honourable Michael Kirby AC CMG, Australia’s longest-serving Justice of the High Court of Australia and with extensive expertise in promoting human rights at local, national and international levels.
Please submit your expression of interest to receive further information about this event and other 20th anniversary celebration activities taking place on Tuesday 5 December 2023.
